DTF meeting on IPPI & MI meeting in Kiphire

District Task Force (DTF) meeting was conducted at SDO’s (Civil) office Kiphire on March 31, to discuss the activities to be carried out during Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) 2ndround and Mission Indradhanush Phase-4 2nd round. A press note by CMO Kiphire, Imnasenla Pongener stated that Dr. Rebecca Y Sema (DPO, RCH-UIP) gave an overview of the activities chalked out for the programmes and also stated the performance of IPPI 1st round as having achieved 90% of the target.
IPPI 2nd round would be conducted from April 1-3, 2017 targeting 10,362 children falling between 0-5 years. The first day would focus on administering polio drops through booth activities and other two days on house-to-house visit by health workers. Mission Indradhanush2nd round of Phase-4 would target to immunize all 0-2 years and 5 year olds, and pregnant mothers. The second round would be conducted from April 7-13 and would cover 15 session sites of Pungro block and Indo-Myanmar bordering villages. Dr. Rebecca requested the attendees and community to spread the message of the importance of immunization and appealed to the beneficiaries to avail the services provided during the programmes. Those who attended the programme included Benjamin Longkap (SDO Civil Hq.), Dr. C.T. Patton (CMO), Z. Tsangkhuchu (CDPO), L. Meshu Khiam (S.S. NST), Rezulule (Addl. SP), L. Kipitong (SIS Hq.) and Jully Sumi (BPM, NHM).
