ASGAA holds awareness cum seminar programme

All Sanchi (Agar) Growers Association of Assam (ASGAA) inaugurated the ‘mission green village” in North East India with a view to create awareness among Agar wood (Sanchi) farmers of the region. As a part of the mission, first awareness cum seminar programme was held on March 29 at Moayimti village under Mokokchung district.
In the seminar, organizing secretary, Bikash Borah, stressed on the need to create a healthy plantation and harvesting of agar wood in the region in eco friendly manner to raise the income level of the farmers.
ASGAA team also appreciated the agar growers group and their valuable activities in the area and assured to assist in all kinds of work and to fulfil the slogan of ASGAA “Grow agar save agar trade agar eco friendly manner’ and to solve problems faced by the farmers a joint memorandum would be submitted to the concerning authority.
Chairman and members of the council participated in the programme.
The new office bearers would be led by Dr. Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh as president, executive president Jitendra Nath Borah, vice president Eliho Angami and Dolly Asangla Gogoi.
