DDLSA visits legal aid clinics; legal aid clinic at Mangkolemba

Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) visited legal aid clinics around Dimapur district at Medziphema, Sochunoma, Zuthovi and Diezephe, and imparted legal awareness to village council members, church leaders, women leaders and youth leaders on Saturday.
The DDLSA team was led by chief judicial magistrate, Dimapur and secretary DDLSA, Ajongba Imchen, along with panel lawyers.
The secretary and his team spoke on topics such as legal aid, role of PLV, functioning of legal clinic and welfare schemes.
Mangkolemba: ADC, Mangkolemba, T. Imtiwapang Aier, on Saturday inaugurated the legal aid clinic Mangkolemba under the Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA).
Speaking at the inaugural function, Imtiwapang underscored the importance of maintaining law and access to justice.
He lauded MDLSA for setting up the legal aid clinic at Mangkolemba and hopped that people would benefit and access justice through it.
The resource persons of the function were JMFC and secretary MDLSA, Phuleto Yeptho and assistant public prosecutor, Mokokchung ApongThongliu.
Discussion hour followed the inaugural function.
Earlier the programme was chaired by PLV MDLSA Bendangsenla.
