MVC, PVC ban hunting & fishing

Mungya Village Council (MVC) and Philimi Village Council (PVC) held a joint meeting on April 26, and resolved to ban hunting and fishing within its jurisdiction.
In a press release, MVC seasonal chairman Eyilo Kikon and seasonal secretary Y. Zanao Lotha stated that hunting and fishing has been strictly prohibited w.e.f. May 1, within the jurisdiction of two villages (Doyang area) for the preservation of its environment.
MVC and PVC further resolved that anyone found using of bomb, deathly chemical and battery a fine of Rs. 5000 would be imposed per person and Rs. 2500 fine would be imposed on any person found using fishing. It has also informed that 50% of the fine would be awarded to anyone who reports such activities to the councils. 
Meanwhile, MVC and PVC have requested all citizens to cooperate.
