November 28, 2021 | by admin

In view of the Statehood Day on December 1 and the Hornbill Festival, a mass social work has been planned on November 30 from 6 a.m. to 12 noon in all district and sub-divisional headquarters with the involvement of all the government employees and public.

In a circular issued by principal secretary (home) Abhijit Sinha, the aim of the social work was to make the wards and colonies free from any kind of waste/rubble/muck/foliage overgrowth, etc. The debris, building materials and other wastes, which could be creating public nuisance or giving a dirty look along the roads and paths, should also be removed, he ordered. Sinha directed the DCs to urgently call a meeting of all relevant departments, CSOs, ULBs, colonies, wards, GBs etc, for planning out the mass social work.

Further, in view of the festive season, he suggested steps to ensure facelift of all government buildings and to put decorative lights by November 30. He also appealed public/CSOs to co-operate and provide assistance to help carry out the mass social work successfully and also for carrying out beautification of their houses/colonies/wards, etc.
