Sainik School Punglwa conducted its investiture ceremony on May 2, presided over by Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad, principal Sainik School Punglwa.
In his address, the principal exhorted the cadets to lead by example in all activities and to be responsible in all spheres of activities.
He also enlightened the cadets on good qualities of a leadership.
A total of 39 cadets were reposed with the responsibility of school appointments, house captains and house vice captains for 6 mother houses and 4 holding houses.
These appointments were given to the Cadets who had excelled in their performance in various school activities. Cadet Tokhuo Humtsoe of Class XII was appointed as the school captain for the session 2017-18.
Squadron leader Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, vice principal Sainik School Punglwa administered the oath to the newly appointed school captain, house captains and house vice captains.
Sainik School also held its annual freshers night on May 1 with principal Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad as the chief guest.
The aim of organizing freshers’ night for the new cadets of class VI is to explore their hidden talents and unique creativity in different fields and also to make them competent in various competitive fields both in the school and outside.
Cadet Lobsang Gephel and Cadet Sungjemmongba Longkumer were the masters of ceremonies.
