
The 5th edition of Certificate Course on Social Concern & Leadership’s (CCSCL) annually organized by Prodigals’ Home (PH) formally concluded at the PH conference hall on May 16.
“Our church ministry should expand, come out of their comfort zone and reach out to people who it never encounters in the church” said associate professor, OTS Dr. James Kalong, gracing the function as the main speaker. He opined that churches should come forward and sponsor this kind of social concern programs if they don’t have human resources at their disposal for such works.
Stressing that each individual were gifted in one way or the other and that serving God was not limited to Church Ministry alone, he said each person using their gift for the glory of God was God’s ministry.
Pastor, DABA, Rev. Dr. N. Tzudir, exhorted the trainees to translate whatever they had learned during the 15-day course training into action.
Certificates and the course’s report were presented to the trainees by asst. director, PH Maong Jamir.
Women secretary, WSBAK Khakheli Inato Jimomi, invoked God’s blessing while K. Ela, director PH welcomed the gathering and also highlighted about the course, Viboli of Nito Theological College presented a special number, while trainees Tovitoli of Clark Theological College, Wangshi Lkr Trinity Theological College, warden, SM College Wangwan Konyak, and Wapang Jamir, member of DABA shared their experience and learning and pastor, Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church Rev. Tenga Seb closed the function with a prayer.
It may be mentioned that CCSCL is conducted every year from May 1-15 since 2013 for students from theological and secular field of study, youth and church leaders. This year there were 25 trainees. Altogether 107 students and leaders have been trained through the course till date.
