Hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, Chum Darang got the fifth runners up position in the ‘Miss Asia World’ beauty contest held at Lebanon. She also won the ‘Miss Internet’ sub-title with the highest number of votes.
‘Not the title but a runner up! Got the 5th position. And I am more than happy, at least I didn’t let my country’s name go unnoticed. And about the secondary title that I got, it was because of you all, thank you so much for voting. It was an honour representing my country and the journey of Miss Asia World has been an amazing one,’ she posted on her Facebook page. She has many titles till date namely Miss Tiara India International 2017, Miss Earth India Water 2016, Miss Himalaya 2nd runners up 2015 and more. In addition to that, she also runs an NGO ‘Guardian of Blue Marble’ which works for environmental issues.
