CFR training underway in Kiphire

Training of Trainers (ToTs) on Community First responder (CFR) organized by District Disaster management Authority Kiphire in collaboration with CD&HG, H&FW  and SDRF supported by Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority Home Department Nagaland started at Kiphire district from May 22 which would culminate on May 26.
On May 22 a formal programme was held at DC’s conference hall Kiphire, wherein DC Kiphire Sedevikho Khro exhorted and Hd.GB Kiphire town Sepithong delivered welcome address. 
The training in the district would be conducted as per the scheduled: Kiphire Circle  from May 22 to 26 at DC conference hall Kiphire; Seyochung Circle May 22 to 26 at Town Hall Seyochung; Amahator Circle May 22 to 26 at WAC office Ahamator; Sitimi Circle May 22 to 26 at EAC office Sitimi; Longmatra May 22 to 26 at EAC office Longmatra and Kiusam Circle May 22 to 26 at EAC office Kiusam. Zunheboto: Six-day intensive training on Community First Responder (CFR) got underway at Zunheboto Government College (ZGC) on May 22, organised by Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) in collaboration with District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Home Guard, Civil Defense, and SDRF, Zunheboto.
According to DIPR report, SDO (C), Zunheboto, Vekuto Vero stressed on the need to be prepared for any eventuality with the change of global climate. 
Calling on the participants to be more sincere and equipped, he stressed on the need to help the people in need and provide immediate support to the community in times of any eventuality and unforeseen disaster.
State Relief and Rehabilitation Officer, NSDMA, Jonjibemo Odyuo spoke on the role of CFR in creating awareness among its localities where they would be giving practical tips on emergency search and rescue, fire exhaustion drill, first aid and preparedness for calamities like landslides, fire and real time demonstrations covering different aspects of natural and man-made disasters, methods on lifting injured person, rope stretched, knots and knotting etc.
