The D Block Panchayat, Kohima has informed colony residents that the rate of local pork has been fixed at Rs. 220 during its executive meeting on May 20.
The Panchayat warned that anyone found selling local pork in its jurisdiction above the prescribed rate would be penalized a fine of Rs. 5,000 and the meat would be seized.
The Panchayat also reminded that no shop in the colony would be allowed to open on Sundays and defaulters would be penalised.
The Panchayat also warned that any drunken people creating nuisance and disturbing the colony would not be tolerated.
