Konyak Theological Association (KTA) held its annual conference from May 19 to 21 under the theme “We Preach Christ” at Shangsa village, wherein Rev. N. Sheipa, Bongtao, Rev. T. Honlong and Hinglong were the speakers.
A press note by MTC lecturer Khamhi Konyak stated that minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, IT&C, and Border Affairs P. Paiwang and chairman NPSC A. Yanang were also among the delegates. Minister in his address to the theologians reminded that “theological studies start with the Truth” and therefore he encouraged the theological students to be bold enough to speak out the truth and serve the Lord with full dedication and commitment. He further warned the youth about mushrooming of various denominations due to doctrinal differences and therefore reminded them not to be led astray by those doctrines if the Konyaks wanted to be under one association.
Lecturer S. Apang presented a paper on “child labour” and there was a panel of discussion on “clean election”.
Opening ceremony was done by New Life Bible College Dimapur and the conference was closed by Discipleship Bible College Dimapur. Altogether more than 315 Konyak theological students attended the conference.
