Ollo Students Union (OSU) has expressed pain over the sudden demise of NSCN/GPRN chairman, S. S. Khaplang. In a condolence note, OSU stated that his death was a great loss to the Naga nation and added that late Khaplang was not only a nation freedom fighter but also a religious freedom fighter especially to the Nagas in East. Further, OSU has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members, every rank and file of NSCN/GPRN and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
