Department of Education, ICFAI university Nagaland one-week faculty development programme (FDP) for the school teachers on micro and macro skills of teaching is underway since July 3 to be concluded on
July 7.
A press note by ICFAI university coordinator (FDP) Dr. V. T. Vasagan stated that teachers from various schools in Nagaland are taking part in the workshop.
Vice chancellor of IUN, professor Charles P. Alexander in his speech stressed on modern teaching methods.
He encouraged the teachers to recreate an environment where children could learn and develop wholesome personality, and to relate the context with the contents. He also talked about the faulty ways of teaching-learning methods, and how to bring about changes to meet the needs of the fast changing society.
The inaugural programmme was chaired by Retongkokla HoD, Education. Resource persons have been drawn from different streams and disciplines.
