NLSF appeals to legislators

July 13, 2017 | by admin

Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) has strongly appealed to the 60 legislators “to stop playing musical chair” and rather look into the welfare of the state.
In a joint statement, NLSF president Imliben Lemtur, general secretary Medochutou Kiewhuo and speaker Nungshimeren Jamir reminded the legislators that they had taken oath before God and Man, but have failed to abide by the principles and ethics.
They alleged that Nagaland was suffering due to wounds created by the legislators. They also pointed out that “the highest competitive body (NPSC) in our state is also not safe under the leadership of present legislators owing to back door appointments.”
NLSF said “the curse of the legislators was revealed as the vital bridge connecting Nuiland sub-division and the adjoining Dimapur collapsed” killing precious lives.  Had the bridge been repaired on time, the accident could have been avoided, it added  Another oldest over bridge/flyover was on the verge of collapse, NLSF stated. Therefore NLSF has appealed to the legislators to team up and work for the welfare of the public instead of being divided and lodged at different camps
NLSF also appealed to the citizens of Nagaland to exercise their franchise wisely in the fourth coming election to elect the right person who can be devoted for the welfare of the people.
