Reshita Baruah from Assam, who represented India at Mrs. World 2017 pageant, was crowned at the grand finale of the prestigious pageant. At the same pageant she also won the title of Mrs. Congeniality.
Reshita Baruah hails from the Jorhat district of Assam. She is the first woman from her state to represented India in this contest. Prior to this, she was crowned Mrs. India World, in 2017 at the Mrs. South Asia 2017 pageant.
She competed against 21 other contestants in Everett, Washington, USA. She went through three rounds which included cocktail round, fitness round, and the evening gown round.
Mrs. World provides each candidate the opportunity for personal growth, self-expression and development. After being adjudged as second runners up, Reshita Baruah took the opportunity to genuinely “thank the people for all the support”. She said “it really mattered” to her.
