The training for presiding officers for the 10th Northern Angami- I assembly constituency by-election was held on July 17 with deputy commissioner and returning officer Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, at DPDB Hall, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, highlighting the importance of election process, the DC said that the elections have been the fundamental function vested upon government servant.
He asked the trainees to maintain uniformity for the entire country where the eElections were being held as per the rules of Election Commission of India and asked them to give due attention to the new edition and guidelines as election process kept on changing time to time and to inform themselves accordingly. He urged them to stick to the guidelines to make it a clean and fair election and called upon to give their best for the successful conduct of by-election. The programme was chaired by project officer Labour department and master trainer, Yanger.
