Induction programme of the newly elected president of New Market Business Owners’ Association (NMBOA), Kughali Chishi wife of late Hokivi Chishi, was held at her residence, Sematilla, here on Tuesday.
The programme was attended by various organizations, business community and well-wishers.
Kughali while welcoming her election as the president of NMBOA, which was earlier held by her late husband, thanked the business community for reposing faith to lead the association.
She appealed to the business community and various organizations to continue extend the cooperation and support as extended to her late husband.
Naga Council Dimapur, Business Association of Nagas, Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation, Muslim Council Dimapur, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, GB union Dimapur, Sumi Council Dimapur, District Congress Committee Dimapur and former MLAs spoke on the occasion.
Extending support to the new president, they recalled the sacrifice and contribution made by late Hokivi for the welfare of the business community, especially at New Market area.
In tune with this, business community have been urged to continue to extend cooperation with the new president.
On the other hand, they congratulated Kughali for being the first women to head business association in Dimapur and urged her to give her best so that her success would set an example to other district.
