The WC maintained that the active and vocal participation of the Ao community was required at this crucial socio-political situation of Nagaland. The Senden while greeting the leaders on behalf of the Ao Nagas, expressed appreciation for the invitation extended to them.
The Senden acknowledged the efforts of the NNPGs for listening to the voice of the people, saying “reconciliation, peace and unity was the demand of the Nagas.” According to the media cell, the Senden also expressed optimism that the formation of Working Committee would enable the government of India to look at Indo-Naga political issue from the practical point. In this regard, it said that the Senden encouraged the NNPG leaders “to be firm and seek an inclusive, honorable and acceptable political solution for our people.”
