Electrical department Mokokchung is carrying out a major replacement of decade old rusted electrical poles in and around the town under the supervision of electrical executive, Er. Lobosang Jamir.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Er. Lobosang, who was supervising replacement of an old rusted electrical pole at Kichutip Ward, informed that the power department was carrying out an intensive replacement of rusted pole, in and around the town, in accordance with the resources available with the department.
He said the replacement was done either through complaints from the ward authorities or as the inspection team deems fit.
Er. Lobosang also informed that the department was also structuring extensions wherever necessary and added that during the process of such pole replacements, there would be power outage for few hours in those certain locations. He appealed to the public to bear with the inconvenience for few days.
