NPF central office bearers (COB) on Wednesday unanimously adopted three-point resolution and reaffirmed its unflinching support to the leadership of its president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu.
The meetingalso endorsed the president to summon the meeting of the CEC as well as fix the date and venue for the upcoming general convention of the NPF.
Reiterating its support to the “ongoing peace process vis-à-vis political talks between NSCN (IM) and the Govt. of India (GoI),” the COB also appreciated the Centre for inviting Working Committee of the NNPGs for political negotiation. COB asserted that it had been the unwavering stand of NPF that solution should be “inclusive of all stakeholders”.
Further, COB also appealed to the NSCN (K) “to renounce violence” and return to the negotiating table with the government of India, saying it was the ardent desire of the Naga people.
CEC meet: NPF Central president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu has called for a meeting of the central executive council (CEC) on October 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Central office, Kohima.
