Swachh Bharat mission, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mon observed Swachhta Hi Seva “cleanliness is service” from September 15 to October 2 at KVK office and Aboi block under Mon district.
Various activities like planting of forest tress for green environment and ecosystem were conducted within the office premises. Technical know-hows about disposal of both organic and non-organic biodegradable waste were imparted.
Awareness on public hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness of one’s surroundings were also carried out during Samagra Swachhta followed by cleanliness drive at public places and nearby amenity involving rural youth during the celebration.
Swachhta Hi Seva was highlighted by SMS (animal Science), Dr. Paihem Michui and vote of thanks by SMS (soil conservation), Imtinuksung.
KVK Zunheboto: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Zunheboto, Nagaland University celebrated Sarwatra Swachhta on September 25 at Sumi Settsu village under Akuluto block of Zunheboto district. Programme started with speech on importance of cleanliness by senior scientist and head, KVK, Zunheboto, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, followed by Sankalp Se Siddhi pledge. Village church, schools and graveyard were cleaned by the youths of the village along with the KVK staff.
