Training centre of Pinnacle Skills (PS) was inaugurated in Dimapur by chief operating officer, NERLP, ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Paul Lokho on November 6.
A press note by PS chief executive, Dr. Yan Murry stated that during the inaugural function, Lokho stressed on the need for skills among youths in transforming society. He cited example in the scenario after World War 2 where towns having population of skilled manpower recovered and developed faster than the towns having less skilled people.
Lokho said he was among the pioneers of the NGO movement in the North East India in the late 1980s when he worked for the Indo-Global Social Service organization. He elaborated that initially youths were left out from the development process but when they started “youth partner in development” motivation program, there was great impact and created leaders in community.
Pinnacle Skills Dr Yan Murry said that the centre would offer courses like beauty & spa therapist, nursing assistant & birth attendant, diploma in information technology and cutting & tailoring. Ajung Jamir, assistant manager, Training & HR chaired the program and Debojyoti Sarkar, Head of Operations of Pinnacle Skills proposed vote of thanks. Pinnacle Skills is located at DC court junction, Dimapur.
