Assam Rifles Dimapur battalion under during routine checking intercepted a truck (AS 12E 6917) at mobile check post and recovered 1,250 cases of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs. 30 lakh at Kashiram Basti, Dimapur on January 31.
In this connection, PRO, said three individuals involved, identified as Anu Debbarma (27) son of Amulya Debbarma, resident of Dhalai Tripura, Samir Debbarma (21) son of Amulya Debbarma, resident of Dhalai Tripura, and Ohika Yapto son of Khesto, resident of Zunheboto district, were apprehended. Further, the individuals along with recovered illegal IMFL were handed over to west police station Dimapur for further investigation.
AR Mon battalion recovers firearm
Assam Rifles Mon battalion conducted an operation in the general area Mon village along with police representatives on February 1. In a press statement, AR claimed that during the operation one .32 mm pistol (registered number 0205) along with three live rounds was recovered from the house of a suspected cadre of FGN (Non Accordist), Wangto Konyak. The recovered weapon and rounds were handed over to Mon police station, AR said in a statement.
