Polling in Ladigarh today

Commissioner and Returning Officer (RO) Temjen Toy Thursday notified on completion of adjourned poll at 49/1-Ladigarh, 49-Tamlu A/C for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland, to be held on Saturday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. However, Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed that polling would be held at the Temporary Shed near Piching Nullah in place of LP School, Ladigarh which the notification said was “under dispute.”
In a notification, the RO said the notification followed the declaration of ECI under Section 57 of the Representation of People Act 1951 that the poll taken on April 9 at the polling station shown against the parliamentary/assembly constituency to be void.
DC/DEO Dmu directs PrOs: DC and DEO N. Hushili Sema has directed Presiding Officers (PrOs) to be present at DC’s office without fail on LS poll counting day May 16. In a press release, DEO has asked PrOs of 1 Dimapur A/C to be present by 8 a.m. while those of 2 Dimapur A/C by 9 a.m. PrOs of 3 Dimapur A/C should be there by 10 a.m.; 4 Ghaspani A/C by 11 a.m. and 5 Ghaspani A/C by 12 noon.
