Citing unsafe condition of the road, DC & RTA Kohima chairman, Rajesh Soundararajan, has ordered the closure of bypass road connecting Tinpatti-Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) with immediate effect till further orders.
In an order, Soundararajan, stated that the district administration carried out spot verification based on the reports received from PWD regarding the potential caving-in of the stretch of road near Soul Harvest Church where construction of retaining wall was on.
In this regard, all the commuters have been requested to take note of the same and use other alternate roads and be mindful of the resultant traffic jam in other roads because of the same and plan their movement accordingly.
