EduCentre, in partnership with YouthNet, organised a four-day “Educational Fair” under the IMPACT 5000 by 18 programme which is in partnership with government of Nagaland and Runway. It commenced on May 7 at the De-Oriental Grand Hotel, Kohima. Krupanidhi group of institutions is the event partner for the Educational Fair in Nagaland.
A press release from EduCentre stated that the two-day Edufest in Kohima was inaugurated by SCERT director, T. Sekhose who encouraged the students to take this time as an opportunity to interact with the institutions so that it will help them think and make the right decision in starting their career. He quoted Alvin Toffler’s saying “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” The world of employment may be very limited in the government sector, but someone who was willing to take the risk, willing to explore, willing to look beyond the traditional mindset, will always find employment, and for this to happen, education is basic, Sekhose stated.
Edufair is an interactive platform where students can meet some of the top reputed, accredited colleges and universities from all across the country and abroad. The targeted group are the outgoing students of classes 10+2 and bachelors, wherein scholarships and work placement opportunities in India and abroad are also available.
The programme was chaired by Educentre executive, Temjensola Pongen, invocation was said by NCF Hyderabad pastor, Zajamo Odyuo, while YouthNet director, Lezo Putsure delivered the welcome note.
The fair in Kohima on May 7 and 8 will be followed by May 9 and 10 in Dimapur, Hotel Acacia, with free entry for all.
