The three day long Father’s Camp, held under the theme “Let us build our home” by Men’s Ministry of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK), concluded on June 10, in Kohima today at Mount Tabor.
CBCK Fathers Camp 2018, publicity secretary, Chizokho Vero, in a press release said that on the last day, while speaking on the topic “A father for all seasons”, Rev. Khrotso Mero challenged the campers (fathers) to lead their families towards in the right direction and build a prosperous family.
He also called upon the campers to bring peace and comfort during turbulent times and to be diligent and take utmost care of the family, being the managers and planners of the family.
“Be a man of honesty and integrity”, he told the campers and encouraged them to be a father of worth for better relationships, better understanding and happiness within the family.
Other speakers of the three day long camp included Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh, Athono Rhakho, Rothihii Tetseo, Niehiisa Nakro, Jolayi Nienu, Rev. Vezopa Rhakho, Dr. Vetso Koza, Neikhwezii Venuh and Dr. Chothayi Nienu.
They touched on the topics “Let us build our home,” “Becoming a Godly father,” “Marks of a Godly father,” “A disciplined father,” “The true joy” and “Family altar,” “Fathering God’s way,” “Children education,” and “Health awareness.”
Earlier, camp adjutant Lhiivesayi Lohe read out the report of the camp while vote of thanks was proposed by Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh.
The camp was conducted successfully under the camp director Zhopota Rhakho.
The camp registered over 120 fathers who were touched by the word of God and blessed.
