Home Guards and Civil Defence (HG&CD) has introduced Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system (BAS) at its directorate on Tuesday.
The BAS was formally launched by director general of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Toshitsungba Aier as part of the 100 days programme of PDA government at the conference hall of Home Guards and Civil Defence.
According to senior staff officer Hqs, S. Rotokha Zhimomi, the director general after launching the BAS expressed hope that the performance of the employees would improve and transparency would be maintained in attendance of the employees. He also acknowledged the contribution made by the IT department in the installation of the BAS in the department.
