A high school boy reportedly drowned in a small pond near high school junction below BRTF camp Kohima at around 10:30 a.m on Sunday. The deceased boy is reportedly from Warumong village under Mokokchung district. Other details about the incident could not be ascertained as the police were unaware of the incident and eyewitness or nearby residents could not be contacted. A video circulating in social media shows the lifeless body of the boy being fished out from the pond by an unidentified person.
