DMPH Dimapur conducts training for paramedic, NGOs, stakeholders

District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Dimapur conducted training for paramedic/NGOs/stakeholders on “common mental illness” at District Hospital, Dimapur on July 24. 
According to DMHP Dimapur, topics discussed were on “alcohol & drug uses” and “depression” by nodal officer and psychiatrist,  Dr. Chikrozho Kezo. He highlighted that drug abuses was a growing concern in the state and explained on drug and alcohol addiction programs and treatment options.  Speaking on the topic “anxiety disorder”, Kezhano, psychiatric nurse explained the various types of anxiety disorder, its causes and the treatment modalities. Rubica, community nurse explained the role of NGOs in therapeutic communication.  Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Dr. L. Belho, assistant MS, DHD, word of encouragement by Dr. Keneiteiso Sorhie, deputy director &  SPO, H&FW. The programme was chaired by Allo Zhimo and  vote of thanks by Pupoi Lam. The delegates for the programme were from Childline, Prodigals’ Home, Bethesda Recovery Home, Missionary of Charity & Sisterhood Network.
