Dimapur police crime beats for February

According Police/PRO, Dimapur Police on February 1, apprehended one Khekaho Chishi of Lothavi village, resident of Sachu colony, Dimapur while illegally collecting money from Tata Magic, G.S. road and recovered a cash of Rs. 2530 and 6 extortion slips of GPRN/NSCN (K) from his possession. In this connection, a case was registered at sub-urban Police Station Dimapur.

In a similar incident, Dimapur Police apprehended one Pvt. Hekiye Sumi NSCN (I-M) from Lazami village, Pughoboto Zunheboto, resident of 4th mile while extorting money from shops at 4th mile. Police seized one tax slip of South-East Vehicle Union issued by NAFD / NSCN (I-M), cash amount of Rs.1500 from his possession. In this connection, a case was registered at East Police Station Dimapur.

Meanwhile on February 1, one Hokugha, resident of Purana Bazar was apprehended by a resident of Imkonglenden colony while extorting money from shops at Imkonglenden colony and handed him over to the Dimapur Police. The individual was arrested against the stated charges and a case was registered at East Police Station Dimapur.

On February 6, Dimapur Police intercepted one vehicle from 4th mile near Central Jail area on checking duty and seized one 9MM pistol (country made) with 4 live ammunitions from the possession of one Taijungba Jamir of Changtongya village, Mokokchung, presently residing at Diphupar ‘K’ Khel. The accused was arrested and a case was registered at Diphupar Police Station. 

In another incident, Dimapur Police apprehended one Mughaki Zhimo from Naharbari junction, Dimapur on February 14 and seized Rs.3000, extortion slip of NSCN (R) and one mobile handset from his possession. In this connection, a case was registered at East Police Station Dimapur.

In a separate incident, Dimapur Police apprehended one Aloboto Wotsa from Ghathashi, Zunheboto, presently residing at Thahekhu, Dimapur on February 13 for illegally collecting tax from ring-well construction owners under the name of NSCN (U) and seized Rs.1500 from his possession. A case was registered at Sub-Urban Police Station Dimapur in this connection.

Meanwhile, two persons were arrested with arms on February 13, one Vihoka Kiba of Lotovi village, Dimapur was apprehended from brick kiln at Lotovi village area and seized one 22 pistol with one magazine, five 22 live ammunitions, one 22 misfired ammunition, Rs.28,000 and one motorcycle.

One Khapur Shikai Yeptho of NSCN (I-M) of Tokugha village, presently residing at Kuhuboto, Dimapur was also apprehended on the same location. Dimpaur Police seized his one 22 pistol with one magazine, one 22 misfired ammunition, one extortion slip of Naga National Council Parent Body (NNC) and  one coupon of extortion slip of National People Government of Nagaland (NNC) containing  20 leaflets. In these two connections, cases were registered at Diphupar Police Station Dimapur.
