KTU condemns killing of NSCN (I-M) cadres

While expressing shock at the tragic incident of Nginu village in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh on July 11, the Kuki Tribal Union (KTU), NSCN/GPRN strongly condemned the brutality of the Indian security forces in which six Naga soldiers were shot dead. 

 In a press release by KTU of NSCN (I-M) steering committee, president KTU NSCN/GPRN Lh Paohao stated that, the six Naga soldiers were: ‘Lieutenant’ Somaya Shatsang of Wung Tangkhul Region; ‘2nd Lieutenant’ Ashak Wangsa of Konyak Region; ‘Sergeant Major’ Somipam Shaiza of Wung Tangkhul Region; ‘Sergeant Major’ Sawang Pansa of Wancho Region; ‘Corporal’ Lentsuba Lalii of Saramati Region and ‘Corporal’ Paogouhao Lhangum of Kuki Tribal Union. 

KTU of NSCN (I-M) also extended its gratitude to the Naga Hoho (NH), Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA), Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) and various other organizations that took the initiative to bring back and welcome the mortal remains of the brave Naga soldiers to reach each of their destinations. 

It also thanked the United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students’ Association Manipur (ANSAM) and Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) for having jointly organized a grand condolence service for the six Naga soldiers in Ukhrul on July 17. 

Union also shares the grief of the bereaved family members and pray to the Almighty God to grant their families solace and for the souls of the departed comrades to rest in peace.
