
Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has reiterated its stand for early settlement to the long-awaited Indo-Naga political issue.
This was among several resolutions adopted during the emergency meeting of ENPO central executive council held on November 9, ENPO media cell stated.
The meeting also resolved that the ENPO, on behalf of the six tribes– Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, and Yimkhiung, shall participate on common issue-based meeting with other Naga tribes after due consultation with its six tribal bodies.
Further, ENPO and the six tribal bodies have appealed to the NSCN (R) to reconcile and bury all differences in the interest of peace and unity, adding that “all peace loving Nagas are anxiously awaiting for a permanent peace”.
