Chessore Village multi-purpose hall constructed by Rural Development (RD) department was inaugurated on May 3 by Tuensang District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) project director, T Achila Quinker.
A press release by the department informed that Quinker congratulated the staff and officers of RD Block Chessore, Chessore Village Council and Village Development Board (VDB) for successfully completing the project and stressed on proper and timely maintenance and utilisation of the hall properly. She also requested and encouraged the officials and village authorities to focus on other developmental projects with the same zeal to see more transformation.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Chessore/deputy director RD, S Lakiumong Yimkhiung informed that funds were allocated from MGNREGA, BRGF, GIA, XV Finance Commission and donations by individuals for the construction and completion of the project.
The multipurpose hall was dedicated by Chessore Village Baptist Church (CVBC) Pastor Doki Allen while the project director, DRDA Tuensang unveiled the monolith. The church staff of CVBC presented a special number, brief report on the building was given by GB, A Yansomong, vote of thanks by VDB secretary, Chessore Village, Solung and benediction by CVBC associate women Pastor Tsusola.
