Personnel of Narcotic Cell, Excise department on receiving information about illegal transaction of drugs in Supermarket area, Dimapur, swung into action and seized 20 soap boxes of Sunflower (Heroin) and arrested one person.
Dy. Commissioner of Excise (NC), Katoho Sumi informed that the arrested person has been identified as L. Dasou (55 years) son of Luzii Kapumai, a resident of Phuba Khuman, Senapati, Manipur.
The arrested person has been booked under the relevant sections of NDPS Act 1985 and the case is under investigation, Katoho said.
The duty party was led by Atilo Kent AIE, excise constables Khumeng, Alice and Kamnei.
