
Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) held a farewell program in honour of the outgoing KDLSA secretary, Mezivolu T. Therieh on March 2, at Kohima district court bar room.
NSLSA legal aid counsel-cum-trainer, Joshua Sheqi expressed that working with the outgoing secretary was valuable and memorable and that she was one of the most prominent and efficient official, bold and daring in all her works.
NSLSA members secretary, Nino Iralu, expressed her gratitude to the outgoing secretary for shouldering emblem of activities under the banner “Access to justice for all” by performing a commendable job in the field of legal services, by discharging her duty with integrity, effective administration and hard work. Iralu also wished the outgoing secretary the very best for her new assignment and legal services activities in her new place of posting at Kiphire district.
KDLSA chairman Y.M Imchen, acknowledged her irreparable contribution in the field of legal services which was recognized as the best district in the year 2016 under Nagaland State Legal Services Authority.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kohima, Rajesh Sundararajen, lauded to the outgoing official Mezivolu T. Therieh for her sincerity and pronounced Therieh as a person who worked systematically and a person who sticks to the plan. Retainer lawyers Kekhriengulie, spoke on behalf of the KDLSA. District Court, Kohima asst. public prosecutor Alezo Kire, expressed his word of appreciation for both the outgoing judicial officials Mezivolu T.Therieh as CJM and Tuccono Vamuzo on promotion with transfer as CJM from the bench.
Advocate Alemwapang Ao, on behalf of the Kohima Bar Association (KBA) stated that the KBA was blessed with the privilege to have one of the best judicial officers in the court as well as a dedicated secretary of KDLSA.
Mezivolu T.Therieh in her speech expressed her gratefulness to the member secretary, NSLSA for giving her the platform as a secretary in KDLSA to journey for three years, two months and ten days.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by KDLSA panel lawyer KDLSA and special number was presented by KDLSA panel lawyer Nancy Lotha.
DGC: In a similar programme, the Dimapur Government College (DGC) paid farewell to the HoD of commerce department, R.V Lotha on March 4, at its college premises.
At the programme, DGC principal, Akok Walling highlighted RV Lotha’s contribution to the college saying that his simplicity and straight forward nature endeared him to his colleagues and students.
DGC Teachers Association, commerce department, staff and student’s representative spoke of the contribution made by R.V Lotha to the college and thanked him for leaving an indelible imprint in the college.
Associate professor R.V. Lotha, in his farewell speech declared that he was embarking on his missionary journey and, keeping this in mind, he had obtained Master of Divinity (M Div) from Faith Theological College, Dimapur, when he was still serving in DGC. He has been one teacher, who was committed to the service of the Lord and focus on church planting after his retirement.
Despite offers in managerial position in various government managed corporations, he chose teaching profession, as he was convinced that teaching was a noble and clean profession. He would explore the foreign soil to preach the gospel and plant churches in the remote areas, for which he solicited prayer support from the believers.
DGC authority and Dimapur Govt. College Teachers’ Association (DGCTA) also organized lunch in honour of the retired associate professor R.V .Lotha and his family.
The programme was attended by the family of R.V Lotha, principal, vice principal, faculty, staff and the students.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by HoD of economics department, Kezhalie Hesso and special song was presented by assistant professor, T. Zhanthungo Ngullie.
