Nagaland State Rural Development department sets up panel to probe graft charges

State rural development department has constituted a departmental enquiry committee to enquire into allegation levelled against the department on the implementation of PMAY-G programme and misappropriation of fund in the State.


In a notification, commissioner & secretary Neposo Theluo notified that the committee would submit its report within 30 days from the date of issue of notification.
As per the terms of reference, the committee would ascertain the exact period and the amount mentioned in the allegation i.e fund received from Central and State Government and the fund utilized under the programme.


The committee would also examine the mode and manner through which implementation of PMAY-G was carried out vis-a-vis adherence to PMAY-G guidelines. Besides, the committee would cross check all the relevant records pertaining to the implementation of PMAY-G with special reference to target of 2016-17 to 2019-20.


Further, the committee would identify whether any lapses were there in the course of implementation of the programme or suggest measures for improvement in the better implementation of the programme
The committee led by commissioner & secretary, Neposo Theluo as chairman would include Manhom Konyak, deputy director, DRDBs, Er. Vikerhe Venyo, executive engineer, DRDBs as members and Arenla Longkumer, deputy secretary, RD as member secretary.
