Advisor of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Kazheto Kinimi inaugurated the new directorate building of AH&VS on November 10 at Phezoucha, Kohima.
A press release by the AH&VS department stated that in his address, Kinimi termed the inauguration as a “Red Letter Day” for the department. He hoped that the new building would foster cohesive work culture among the officers and staff and usher in a new era of excellence.
The advisor also thanked chief minister, Neiphiu Rio for prioritizing and ensuring the completion of the new directorate building.
Delivering the welcome address and brief history of the building, AH&VS director, Dr. Nsanthung Ezung gave insight to the decade old initiation journey that started on May 18, 2013 to the final completion on May 29, 2021.
Kinimi also released the 20th Livestock Census Report in the presence of advisor Prison, Printing & Stationery, Er. Kropol Vitsu; advisor fisheries & aquatic resources, A. Pangjung Jamir; advisor, water resources, Tongpang Ozukum; advisor, IT & communication, economics, statistics & evaluation, Sethrongkyu Sangtam.
The programme was chaired by AH&VS additional director and & MD NSDCF, Dr. Khriekuolie; the building was dedicated by Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, pastor Mhonchumo S Lotha; NSSB secretary, Henok Phom thanked the department for allotting one wing of the directorate to NSSB.
