Educational institutions and other organisations conducted various programmes for the students and faculties as part of their academic and extracurricular activities.


KLC: Kohima Law College (KLC) has launched a seven-day attachment program to District Executive Force (DEF) Kohima for final year LLB students as part of its practical papers. The launching programme was held on May 9 at College auditorium, wherein Superintendent of Police, Kohima Bharat Laxman Markad briefed the whole concept of the seven days course which was designed for students.


7th NAP bn: A felicitation programme to felicitate the school and state topper, Mhachilo Yanthan, was held on Thursday at battalion headquarters Bhandari, the programme was organised by 7th NAP battalion. A press statement from the battalion informed that the commandant 7th NAP Bn. gave away Certificates of achievement and cash awards to all the successful students. Commandant Menangmeren congratulated all the successful students on behalf of the unit and hailed the momentous achievement of Mhachilo Yanthan who is a daughter of the unit.

SJU: A mental health awareness programme was organised by the department of psychology and counselling, St. Joseph University (SJU) Chümoukedima in collaboration with the Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and Research Center, Kohima, on May 9 at Government Primary School, Diphupar A, and Government Higher Secondary School, Diphupar A, Chümoukedima.


The resource persons, Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere and Linoka Chisho spoke to the students about the importance of mental health, various mental health issues and problems that every student might face, and how to deal with mental health issues more effectively.


TGOUN:
A seminar focusing on “The Scope and Career in Fashion Designing” was organised by The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) on May 9 at its Sozhulhou/Kozabe Village campus/
During the programme, keynote speaker, proprietor and director of TS Academy of Design, Theja Sekhose, an alumnus of TGOUN, underscored the vast array of career opportunities within the fashion industry.


Addressing a gathering of young aspiring designers, he emphasised the importance of embracing opportunities and pursuing passion with an open mind.


Theja also highlighted key aspects such as brand identity, collaboration, and sustainability, stressing their significance in the professional journey of budding designers. He encouraged attendees to translate their unique vision into their designs and find their distinctive style to leave a lasting impact on the industry.


GHS Saring:
Government High School (GHS) Saring organised a felicitation programme on May 9 for the school’s successful candidates in the HSLC Examinations 2024. The school said for six consecutive years it has achieved 100% pass result, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence.
Assisi: Assisi Evening Section on May 9 felicitated the state rank holder in class 10 Mhachilo Yanthan who scored 98.83% by organising a felicitation programme.
