State government has convened a monsoon preparedness meeting at the chief minister’s secretariat, Kohima on May 20, 2024 at 11am under the chairmanship of the chief minister and the chairman of Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
The government has requested the department of PWD (R&B), Home Guards Civil Defence & SDRF, Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS) and Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) to submit an infrastructure maintenance report and give a presentation of 5 to 6 slides each on monsoon preparedness measures by the department concerned.
The government has also requested minister in-charge for PWD (R&B), minister in-charge for H&FW, minister in-charge for PHED, minister in-charge for rural development (RD), minister in-charge for power, advisor in-charge for urban development (UD), advisor in-charge for F&CS, advisor in-charge for IPR and advisor in-charge for NSDMA to attend the meeting.
Further, the following officials have also been requested to attend the meeting: chief secretary, director general of police, agriculture production commissioner, principal secretary PHED, commissioner & secretary H&FW, commissioner & secretary works & housing, commissioner & secretary UD, commissioner &secretary RD, commissioner & secretary power, commissioner Nagaland, secretary F&CS, secretary IPR, director general HG, CD& SDRF, engineer-in-chief power, engineer-in-chief NPWD, principal director H&FW, chief engineer R&B, chief engineer power, director agriculture, director F&CS, director UD, director RD, director IPR, representative from NDRF and representative from NHIDCL.
