Sky Bridge Prayer Tower, at Old Naga Cemetery, Dimapur constructed by Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur funded by the state government was inaugurated by chief minister, Neiphiu Rio on Saturday.
According to ASTD, Rio in his address commended Senso Telongjem Dimapur for their visionary project and emphasized the significance of how Nagas honor and care the dead and their resting place, which serves as a place of remembrance, respect and connection.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Neiphiu Rio alongside a gathering of dignitaries, community leaders and others.
The bridge located in the heart of old Naga cemetary, stands as a beacon where it can serve as a sacred space of remembrance, solace and peace for the loved ones of those souls resting there. The Prayer Tower preserves historical and emotional significance of the site while creating an environment that encourages quiet reflection and prayer.
