Naga Students’ Union Kolkata (NSUK) held its 47th annual freshers’ meet on September 15 under the theme “Be the change” at The Stadel, Salt Lake Stadium premises, Kolkata. Er. Lankhon Kamei, senior officer (Information System) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. graced the occasion as chief guest.
While addressing the students he quoted “…..there is no college football team without a Naga, no choir without a Naga, no social organization without Nagas….we are talented, so lets channel our abilities and bring about the change we want to see……”.
President, NSUK, Joyson Pfithu in his address urged and challenged the students as well as the Naga community to utilize time wisely and bring about changes to the society.
Chinkiwuang and Erenbeni Kikon were declared as Mr & Miss Fresher’s 2012 respectively. The function ended with entertainment programme followed by a dinner.
