Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur acknowledges law enforcement agencies

Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) and its tribal units expressed heartfelt appreciation to law enforcement agencies, particularly commissioner of police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie and his team, as well as the Sub Urban Police Station, Dimapur, led by UBI V Vikheka.

TSUD president Sotilo Seb and general secretary Chiehepe Kapfo in a press release commended the swift action taken by the police in addressing the recent incident of brutal physical assault and verbal harassment of innocent youth, including a student.
Despite the immense pressure and challenges posed by the 24-hour ultimatum, they noted that the police demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and efficiency in apprehending the perpetrators.

Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur acknowledged the complexities involved in such cases, and appreciated the dedication and vigilance of the law enforcement agencies.
According to them, the efforts of the police had brought a sense of justice and relief to the victims and their families, reaffirming their faith in the rule of law and safety of the community.
Reiterating that the TSUD remained committed to serving the interests of students and the community through fair, democratic, and collaborative means, they said they looked forward to fostering strong partnerships with all stakeholders in the shared pursuit of peace, justice, and security.
