DDFRA organizes seminar for football referees

Dimapur District Football Referee Association (DDFRA) organised a seminar on laws of the game for the football referees of Dimapur district at DDSC here on Tuesday.

Resource person of the seminar was Joychandra Singh, Zonal Referee Development Office NEZ. Engaging in discussion with the referees, Joychandra explained on how to keep updated with the game and pointed out various areas that needed improvement.

He said referees in the state needed more course to take the game to the highest level.
Mentioning that as referee of the match, they should be able to handle pressure, Joychandra suggested refresher course for those registered referees. He also stressed the need for more coaching among the footballers in the state.

DDFRA president, Shiyito Achumi, who presided the seminar, thanked Joychandra for assisting the referees and also for sharing his experience. Shiyito also said that seminar was organised to keep the referees updated with the latest laws of the game. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by DDFRA general secretary, Kami.
Earlier, the seminar began with an invocation by DDFRA vice president, Vikato.
