LBA men department organises open penalty shootout at New Jalukie

The Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Nagaland Men Department organised open penalty shootout tournament at public ground, New Jalukie on March 14 with Executive Secretary, Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kughakulu (WSBAK), Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema and Assistant Audit Officer, Office of the Accountant General and also the president of Peren District Football Association (PDFA), Raithu Newmai as the special guests for opening ceremony and closing ceremony respectively.
Altogether 85 teams participated at the open penalty shootout tournament where SYO Samziuram A was declared as the champion team and walked away with cash prize of Rs. 20.000.
Gracing the opening ceremony, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema addressed the players and the gathering inspiring them to come together as brothers. Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema also stated that it is only through church and sports that allows people of different tribes and languages to come together in unity keeping their differences aside. Sema also stressed on the importance of loving others and living in unity with each other which further impacts the world at large.
At the closing ceremony, Raithu Newmai expressed his appreciation towards the organizing committee and the host church for organizing the event and further encouraged all the participants and congratulated the winning team.
Earlier, Executive Secretary LBA, Rev. Wichampau Nchang welcomed and thanked everyone for their support towards the organization. He further expressed his thankfulness to Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema for coming with his team and gracing the occasion.
