Medical Department of Wokha conducted a special Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) screening drive at Wokha Town Baptist Church on March 23, 2025.
In a press release Medical Superintendent (MS), Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH) Wokha informed that MS, DMMDH, Dr. N. Mhonchan Kithan, highlighted the ongoing special NCD screening campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Running from February 20 to March 31, 2025, the initiative aims to screen all individuals aged 30 and above for diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, oral cancer, breast cancer, and cervical cancer.
He encouraged the congregation to undergo regular health checkups, seek timely treatment, and consult medical professionals to reduce NCD complications and improve overall quality of life.
MO, PHC Wozhuro, Dr. Renathung Kithan, along with staff from DMMDH and Health Centres under CMO, participated in the campaign. A total around 400 were screened and treated.
