Bakery inaugurated in Kawoto village

‘Nelda Bakery,’ the first bakery in Zunheboto district with all the modern scientific machineries and technique, was formally dedicated and inaugurated by Rev. Hukugha Zhimo, executive secretary SBAK (Nito Mount) here in Kawoto village some quarters a mile from Zunheboto town on April 15.
Rev. Hukugha, in his dedicatory note, lauded the Sukhalu family for bringing up such innovative and latest modern technology in Zunheboto district. While lamenting the absence of modern bakery or any food processing unit in the district, Rev. Hukugha humorously stated “for procuring a packet of the famous Kata biscuit (dried biscuit), one had to travel 90-100 km all the way to Mokukchung town. But now, we are fortunate and blessed to have access to bakery items in Zunheboto like elsewhere in Nagaland.”
Sukhalu, the man behind the innovation and introduction of modern technology, in his short keynote address, narrated the motive behind his venture – “to create awareness, motivate and challenge young entrepreneurs particularly the unemployed educated youth in Zunheboto and Sumi community in general.”
He also extended gratitude to all the invitees, family members/ relatives, friends, Kawoto village community and well wishers etc for gracing the occasion and also extending various supports and assistances behind the success and launching of the maiden venture.
Earlier, the dedication/inauguration program was led by Khento, pastor Kawoto Baptist Church (KBC) who administered the introduction; keynote address and Scripture reading followed by the inauguration and dedicatory note and prayers respectively by Rev. Hukugha Zhimo. ES SBAK (NM). The programme concluded with the inspection and prayers followed by community lunch.
More than hundred invitees including SBAK (NM) executive secretary and staff; president of Zunheboto Town Youth Organization (ZTYO), Dr. Awoto, and colleagues; officers; GBs/ elders; Church leaders and village community; relatives and friends; and several other well-wishers graced function.
Meanwhile, ZTYO has lauded Sukhalu for his innovation and introduction of the modern scientific techniques in Zunheboto though he and his family are based in Dimapur.
