Kohima police has informed that in view of the Nagaland 64th Republic Day celebration traffic regulations would be enforced on January 26, from 6 a.m. onward as part of the security arrangement.
In a press release, SP Kohima, Rothihü Tetseo stated that only vehicles with appropriate car pass would be allowed to enter Secretariat plaza.
No vehicle would be allowed to park by the roadside from 6 a.m. onward in the following area – from BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island and from Raj Bhavan to New Secretariat complex.
Police would be compelled to tow away and defaulting vehicles on the above mentioned stretch and towing charges would be recovered from the defaulters, the release stated.
