Chuwokha Kughuko Kuqhakulu celebrates silver jubilee

Chuwokha Kughuko Kuqhakulu (CKK) celebrated its silver jubilee – cum – general meeting on January 5.
Rev. Livuto Chishi, pastor dedicated the silver jubilee monolith at the ancestral Shichimi village.

In honor of Chuwokha Chishi Swu and his descendants – seven sons – Kughalu, Tuzukha, Satakha, Ishepu, Lhoupu, Nilo and Mehena, eight stones were erected.

The programme was held with Er. Kahoto Sumi, joint director of industries and commerce as the main speaker.

He opined that the clan was one of the blessed clans among the Sema community as it clan produced the first state chief minister, late Dr. Hokishe Sema and the first Ph. D degree holder Dr. VC Kanito.

He said the clan must always honor and respect servants of God who are in to full time ministry.
The oldest surviving man in the village, Kikheho Khulu GB of Naghutomi (old) now 90 years  running was awarded with a certificate and gift.

Chuwokah Chishi Swu clan further resolved to keep the birth and death register at its ancestral Shichimi village and “call grandfather/grand mother after reaching the age of 75 years”.

CKK also elected its new office bearers for the tenure of 2012-2015 headed by Er. Kavito Chishi, joint director, NRE as president, GB Hovito Chishi, vice president and GB K. Hukuto Chishi, general secretary along with five executive members, advisors and editorial board.

Meanwhile, Chuwokha Chishi Swu clan has congratulated H.K. Khulu IAS ob being promoted as additional chief secretary, Govt. of Nagaland.
