National role play & folk dance competition held in Mokokchung

Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School, Dilong High School and Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School have participated at the district level national role play and folk dance competition 2014 held at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School auditorium, Mokokchung.
Senior Academic Officer, SCERT, T Lima Longkumer, in his keynote address, said that the period of adolescence is the most important period to be taken care of as it is the transitional period between puberty and adulthood in human development where children undergo physical and psychological changes. He maintained that activities such as role play where participants imitate someone else’s character and use negotiation skills, helps and educate adolescent to empower themselves to face challenges.
In role play competition, MGHSS was declared winner followed by Dilong High School and Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School, while in the folk dance competition MGHSS and Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School were adjudged as winner and runner-up respectively.
